Whatever Wednesday: Melted Crayon Art

Hello Crafters,

I had so much fun doing this project : ) there is something about watching the crayons melting down the canvas LOL! I started out with a 8x10 canvas and a box of 24 crayons (taking out the white one)! I used my hot glue gun to put the crayons on the canvas!

I then used my SU Heat Tool to start melting the tips of the crayons! Make sure you protect your surface : )!

Just keep moving the heat gun back and forth so not to get any one spot to hot! Be careful not to get the heat gun to close to the papers on the crayons they may start to scorch or burn!

Keep going til you like the look! If the melting part at the bottom starts to clump up and stops dripping down just run your heat gun over the area! This is what I got!

To finish off my "masterpiece" LOL I put Black Satin Ribbon around the crayons!
And to add a bit of whimsy to it I used the Big Shot & the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlets Dies to spell out "CREATE" in Basic Black!
TADA LOL!!
I hope you give it a try! You could use a larger canvas and more crayons too, this was just a fun size to add to my craft space : )! I was thinking of making one for my 3 1/2 year old nephew Parker with his name to hang in his room! This my also be a cute gift for a teacher for there classroom with there name on it! The possibilities are endless! See ya tomorrow!
