Recruit Crew - "My Stampin Story"

Hello Crafters,

Another one of the Act 1 challenges is to share how I became a Demo so here it is!

In December 2008 my husband joined a roll playing group. We attended a game out of town shortly after. The wife of the host asked “Do you like to craft?” I happily replied “I sure do!” She invited me into her craft room and we “played” with all kinds of stamps, inks, card stock, punches, ribbon and more. At the end of the night she gave me a Stampin’ Up Idea Book & Catalog and said “Keep it it’s an extra” smiling I thanked her. I poured over it on our drive home the next day, I FELL IN LOVE!!! I planned to place an order after Christmas! Unfortunately I became ill in January 2009 and was unable to work for several months, so money was tight. After having surgery and returning to work I looked up Stampin’ Up on the Internet. I saw that if I became a Demonstrator I could get a discount, money still being kind of tight I thought that would be a great idea. There was a $85 starter kit premonition that month, that sounded even better. So I did a Demonstrator search and found my now upline. The starter kit was the very first Stampin’ Up product I ever bought!
